Seasonal Volunteer Opportunities
Trevisano Teddy Bear Christmas Land
We're recruiting volunteers for Trevisano Teddy Bear Christmas Land to benefit St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis. The Trevisano family’s display in Crestwood includes thousands of lights, 100+ teddy bears, animations, and Christmas music. We need volunteers to manage the donation box outside Thursday-Sunday starting the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas for a 5:30-7:30pm or 6:30-8:30pm shift. Christmas Wishes
Christmas Wishes provides more than 450 clients and families with Christmas gifts. Volunteers can assist with gift drop-off on Friday, December 13 or with gift distribution on Wednesday, December 18 or Thursday, December 19. Volunteers should be able to lift heavy items and be on their feet for most of their shift. Groups welcome. To sign up, contact Rachel Hansen at spcvolunteers@stpatrickcenter.org.
Veterans Day 5K
We need more than 120 volunteers on Saturday, November 9 to help operate the Veterans Day 5K in Downtown St. Louis. Volunteer positions include event setup, participant registration, water stations, runner’s village, course marshal, food & beverage, and fan club.
Groups are welcome. All ages may volunteer for the fan club. Volunteers must be 18 or older for all other assignments. To sign up to volunteer, please fill out the Veterans Day 5K volunteer registration form.
Year-Round Opportunities
Grace House Dinner Drop-Off Grace House is a low-barrier facility dedicated to serving individuals who may struggle to be successful in a traditional shelter environment due to barriers and expectations. We need volunteers Monday-Thursday to prepare a meal at their own expense and drop it off for up to 25 individuals staying at Grace House. Volunteers may also have a meal delivered from a local restaurant if preferred. View the full opportunity here.
Administrative assistance volunteers are needed weekdays from 9am to 4pm for various duties, especially filing and mailing assembly. Shifts are flexible during our business hours. View the full opportunity here.
Donation Center assistance volunteers are needed weekdays from 8am to 4pm to help with with receiving donations and deliveries. Shifts are flexible during our business hours. View the full volunteer opportunity here.
Donation sorting volunteers help sort and distribute donated food and clothing on weekdays between 9am and 4pm. This is a great group volunteer opportunity. View the full volunteer opportunity here.
Lunch service volunteers are needed to serve lunch to our Shamrock Club clients. We need 4 volunteers maximum each weekday from 11:15am to 12:30pm and 2 volunteers each weekend from 10:45am-12:00pm. View the full volunteer opportunity here.
Volunteer-from-home options are available for people who can’t volunteer during regular business hours or are staying home. Options include holding a donation drive, preparing sack lunches, assembling hygiene kits and more. View the full volunteer opportunity here.
Women’s Night Program dinner volunteers prepare a meal at their own expense to serve up to 30 women in the program. We need 2-5 volunteers each night from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Dinner is served at 6:00pm. View the full volunteer opportunity here.
