2022 Spring Newsletter - Dan Brassil

St. Louis real estate agent, Dan Brassil, is on a mission to help St. Patrick Center provide stable housing opportunities to more people in our community. As a business owner and community member Dan felt that giving money and food to people on the street did little to help. His interest in doing more led him to St. Patrick Center. “I appreciate the approach of a hand up rather than a hand out, which sets people struggling on a path to be able to take care of themselves”, says Dan.

In addition to supporting St. Patrick Center with his time, by volunteering to serve lunch to clients and stock shelves in the pantry, Dan has also been a consistent donor to St. Patrick Center, making donations in a very unique way. Since 2019, Dan has been donating a portion of his commission from every real estate transaction to St. Patrick Center. “I felt very fortunate to be able to help people in the sale or purchase of homes and wanted to give back to people in need.” To date, he has made gifts to St. Patrick Center in honor of more than 100 of his clients. “I feel the more success I have in my business, the more responsibility I have

to assist people who grapple with finding and maintaining housing”, says Dan, “it feels good to know the support I’m giving helps St. Patrick Center to achieve their goals.”

To people considering supporting St. Patrick Center, Dan says, “I think it is highly worth the investment, whether through volunteering or monetary donations, to help others who struggle. I firmly believe I benefit as a person by doing so.” Thank you, Dan, for all you have done through the years and with your continued support, we will continue the fight to end homelessness in our community.
