As seen in the May 2019 issue of St. Patrick Center Chronicles
The St. Patrick Center family is saddened to hear of the loss of our Director Emeritus Leo Paradis, who passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the age of 88.
Leo demonstrated the strength of St. Patrick Center, when he took over for our Founder, Edith Cunnane, in 1993. Leo blessed this agency with passion and ambition for the mission equal to that of Edith. Both were driven to help people who are homeless or at risk, improving lives and our community.
A retired Monsanto executive, Leo Paradis had come to St. Patrick Center to volunteer a couple of days each week. As the agency’s CEO, he brought business experience and a bold vision for partnership and community collaboration. His vision of a one-stop caring center came true in 2000 when the agency moved into our current location, a generous building donated from Sverdrup Corporation.
In all, Leo dedicated more than ten years to St. Patrick Center, as CEO and on our Board of Directors.
We ask for your prayers and kind thoughts for Leo and his family. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at noon at Incarnate Word Catholic Church in Chesterfield, Missouri.
