St. Patrick Center Donor receives “Do The Right Thing” award

005 - CROP“I want to give away all of my money to people who are homeless” Kellen told his mother as he was getting tucked in for bed. That’s when the two of them decided to organize a fundraiser benefiting St. Patrick Center.

Kellen’s front yard bake sale raised an astounding $700 to help St. Patrick Center clients overcome homelessness. The most amazing part of his story however isn’t the money raised, it’s the kindness and heartfelt love that went into his gift.

027 - CROP & EDITSTruly humbled by his generosity, St. Patrick Center nominated Kellen for a “Do the Right Thing” award from Do the Right Thing of Greater STL. Kellen was selected as a top recipient, and invited to a special award ceremony hosted by Courtney Bryant from KMOV Channel 4 News as well as several local Police Department officers.

We’re so grateful for Kellen’s dedication to helping others and blessed to have met such an amazing
young man.
