On September 18, 2019 over 100 women came together for our Rise.Shine.Give.Empower. breakfast benefiting our Women’s Night Program. They were able to hear from a former client, Ellie, a volunteer, Mary Daniels of Woodard Cleaning and Restoration and our CEO Laurie Phillips about their experiences with the Women’s Night Program.
The Women’s Night Program, begun in 1988, is a Permanent Supportive Housing program for women experiencing homelessness and behavioral health issues. Up to 20 women in the program participate in trauma-focused treatment and housing-focused case management. We also provide them with dinner each night, a bed, locker, laundry and shower facilities at St. Patrick Center.
Case managers work with the women to help them re-establish themselves and set healthy boundaries. The women meet with their case managers weekly to work on plans for housing, treatment and overall wellness. The goal is for each woman to move into her own home and continue building permanent positive change in her life.
More than $23,000 was raised for the Women’s Night Program at the Rise.Shine.Give.Empower. breakfast. If you would like to support this program please go to our Donate page. To see more photos of the event, please go to our Facebook page.
