- In March, hundreds of volunteers host fundraisers at retail locations, schools, businesses and restaurants to help St. Patrick Center clients improve their lives. Thank you to all of the Pot O’ Gold teams who raise thousands of dollars to support our mission.
ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER:
Pot O’ Gold began in 2004 as an effort to raise funds and awareness for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in the St. Louis community. To date, this campaign has raised over $500,000 to help St. Patrick Center move clients into housing and offer the support needed to achieve their goals.
If you’re interested in hosting a Pot O’ Gold fundraiser, please view our Pot O’ Gold fundraiser guide for more information and regulations.
Throughout the month of March our teams raise money in different ways:
– Donation Canisters
Set up donation canisters or have a penny war for a low-maintenance fundraising option. Simply display a donation canister at the reception area, checkout, bar, teller window or other high-trafficked area that allows patrons to donate at their leisure.
– Jeans Day
Go casual for a great cause at your workplace or school to raise funds and awareness. In exchange for a small donation, all employees or students will be given a special sticker!
– Shamrock Beads
Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day by handing out strands of our shamrock beads to your family, friends, co-workers or classmates in exchange for small donations.
- – Penny or Change Drive
Organize a penny way or change drive between classrooms or departments at work. The winning team could earn a pizza party or donuts for breakfast.
– Bake Sale
Everyone loves a sweet treat or snack! Bake festive St. Patrick’s Day cookies to sell at your school, church or business and donate the proceeds.
