2020 Operation Safe at Home results:
Thanks to everyone who supported Operation Safe at Home. Our campaign goal was to help 164 families stay in their homes by the end of March. You exceeded our expectations in a BIG WAY and, together, we were able to assist 346 families! Thanks to you, these families received homelessness prevention services such as rental and utilities assistance, a short-term stay at a hotel or a deposit on new housing.
You can still keep families safe at home:
The need for our services continues year round. Even as we begin to emerge from the pandemic, our clients will feel the ripple effects for years to come. Any time of the year, you can make a donation or create a fundraiser to prevent evictions and help our clients stay in their homes through Operation Safe at Home. Join Operation Safe at Home and safely come together with your friends, family and coworkers to help provide a warm bed, food and security to our neighbors in need.
Create your fundraiser
You can create your own fundraiser or join a team through GiveSignUp. There, you can track your fundraiser’s progress and see how you stack up compared to other teams or individuals. You’ll be able to view your standings and connect your fundraiser to Facebook and share your fundraiser with your family and friends.
Team vs. individual fundraisers
Team fundraisers are for companies and organizations.
Individual fundraisers are for individuals, families, friends or small groups.
Collect donations for your fundraiser
After you create your fundraiser through GiveSignUp, your unique fundraiser URL will be emailed to you. Share this URL with your network, and they’ll be able to donate directly to your fundraiser.
Operation Safe at Home general donations
If you’d prefer to make a general donation to Operation Safe at Home rather than creating your own fundraiser, you can make a gift at www.stpatrickcenter.org/donate. Include “Operation Safe at Home” in the comments.

Operation Safe at Home fundraiser ideas:
A week without
Commit to going a week without one of your favorite luxuries in life and ask your friends and family to sponsor you. Choose going without whatever is most meaningful to you – video games, coffee or get a glimpse into the experience of homelessness by going without your bed or shower.
Change for change
Collect change or cash from your neighbors as you create meaningful change for families at risk of becoming homeless. Place a change bucket at your office or church to raise even more and spread awareness about our mission of solving homelessness.
Virtual trivia party
Host your own trivia party at home and collect donations for tickets. We can supply the trivia questions to test your smarts with your friends and family virtually.
Virtual office bingo
Employees purchase bingo cards for a donation. A few times a day, email a Bingo number to all participants. The first one to reply with “BINGO” wins. The Bingo game continues until all prizes are distributed.
Host an Operation Safe at Home fundraiser on your Facebook page and encourage your contacts to get involved. If your birthday is near, consider supporting St. Patrick Center with a birthday fundraiser.
Sell raffle tickets for exciting prizes: a day of vacation, sports tickets, restaurant gift certificates and more.
