January Good News Bulletin

Good News for January

— A Project LIVE client who was chronically homeless and struggled with severe substance use worked very hard in our programs to accomplish more than two years of sobriety plus paying his rent and utilities monthly.

— A former client, Marvin Everheart, published a book of his writings.

— From a volunteer family: “Serving the Thanksgiving Day meal was a great experience for all of us and we were super impressed with Carl from the Shamrock Club team.”

— A grandmother asked her grandkids to give up one Christmas gift each and choose a charity to benefit. Her grandson chose St. Patrick Center.

— Our Immediate Support team helped a stranded veteran avoid shelter and get back to his family and friends in New York.

— From a Hospital to Housing client/Marine veteran after we connected him with St. Patrick Center programs and other resources: “I’m immensely grateful for the work that went above and beyond to help me upon my discharge from the hospital.”

— Our Immediate Support team was able to help a young mother obtain gifts to give to her two children on Christmas Day.

— From a Giving Tuesday donor: “Our family understands how much you help our community and we are honored that you highlighted my (late)  brother in your newsletter. We remember him and donate to others struggling with addiction.”

Thanks to Beverly Austin, Emily Corey, Rachel Hollander, Amanda Laumeyer and Ann Rotermund for sharing the good news!
