Thanks to the 7th and 8th graders at St. Charles Borromeo for their meaningful Freezin’ for a Reason event and donations in November.
The “Mini Vinnies” held an overnight event at school to raise resources for our programs and services and learn how we end homelessness. They spent the night in cardboard boxes in the school yard and “panhandled” at the church’s Saturday and Sunday masses. The students raised more than $500 to buy supplies for move-in kits. They also made sandwiches for our clients and collected eight boxes of personal hygiene items.
We think that’s definitely a reason to be freezin’!
