Please note St. Patrick Center is not licensed to book court mandated hours at this time. For on site volunteering we require volunteers to be 14 with a chaperone, 16 to volunteer alone.

The following volunteer opportunities are perfect for groups:

EVENT VOLUNTEER FOR VETERANS DAY 5K RUN/WALK

We need more than 100 volunteers on Saturday, November 9 to help operate our Veterans Day 5K in Downtown St. Louis. Here are some assignments we’re looking to fill:
Event shift: various jobs including registration, water stations, route course marshals, family area, fan club and beverages.
Late shift: tearing down at 10am.
Groups are welcome. All ages may volunteer for the fan club. You must be 18 or older for all other assignments.

MEANINGFUL MEALS

St. Patrick Center volunteers serve over 142,500 meals every year. Come together with a group of friends or family to participate in this new volunteer opportunity. Volunteer in your church kitchen, school kitchen, or even your own home to prepare casseroles for St. Patrick Center to serve as meals.

SERVING MEALS

Up to 7 volunteers
Serving lunch is our most popular volunteer activity. Volunteers are needed every day to serve lunch to our clients and to the public. All shifts must be pre-scheduled and fill up fast. View full volunteer opportunity here

PREPARING DINNER

Groups of 3-6 volunteers
Each night, 20 women stay at St. Patrick Center as part of our Women’s Night Program. Volunteers are needed to plan, prepare and serve dinner each evening. Your group gets to choose the menu! All shifts must be pre-scheduled. The cost of the meal is on the volunteer group. This opportunity is from 5pm-7pm.

SORTING DONATIONS

Up to 6 volunteers
Sort and distribute donated food and clothing on weekdays between 9am and 4pm. This is a great group volunteer opportunity.

VOLUNTEER FROM HOME

Can’t volunteer during regular business hours? We have other opportunities to help in the evenings and on weekends. These include making salad kits, putting together hygiene kits, and more. For ways to volunteer from home click here.

Donations can be dropped off at St. Patrick Center’s donation center dock located at the back of our building on Hadley Street. Items are accepted Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. On weekends and holidays from 9am-11am, we only accept salad kits and casseroles. Please call 314-802-1976 before dropping off prepared food to ensure refrigeration space is available.
