The 3rd annual Veterans Day 5K will be held in conjunction with the 35th annual St. Louis Regional Veterans Day Observance Ceremony and Parade on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
Registration is now open! The Veterans Day 5K, presented by The Gatesworth, includes a timed 5K, one-mile fun-run, FREE Kids’ Dash and many fun-filled activities. This is a family-friendly event to honor those who have served and are serving our country and raise awareness for veteran homelessness. 20% of St. Patrick Center’s clients are homeless veterans and proceeds from the event benefit these clients and their families. The Veterans Day 5K event includes a runners’ village featuring photo opportunities with a bald eagle, APA puppies to cuddle with, snacks, coffee, water, beer (21+), bubble bus, yard games, DJ and more! Stick around after the race for the Veterans Day Observance Ceremony and Parade plus the opportunity to explore the newly re-opened Soldiers Memorial Military Museum which is currently undergoing a $30 million renovation.
Length: Timed 5K run/walk and one-mile fun-run
Cost: $30* (free kids’ dash), $35 beginning on November 9
Veterans receive a $5 discount and a free “Proud Veteran” sticker to wear.
*All paid participants receive a free moisture wicking long sleeve shirt. Design will be announced soon!
New this year- option for team registration! Create a team and invite your co-workers, family and friends to join you. The team with the most registered participants will win an award for raising the most awareness for veteran homelessness in our community.

Mark your calendar for a Community Table night at Bailey’s Range on Monday, August 27 to benefit St. Patrick Center’s work with homeless and at risk veterans. Dine-in, carry-out or order Uber Eats from 5-8pm and 25% of sales will be donated to St. Patrick Center. Registration for the Veterans Day 5K will be available on-site. You’ll receive a 2017 participant shirt for signing up on the spot!
Packet pick-up will be on Friday, November 9. The location will be announced closer to the event. When you are picking up your race gear at packet pick-up or race day, please consider bringing household items to donate to our clients who are veterans. These clients and their families need items such as bedding, pillows, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, cooking utensils and brooms to get started in their new homes.
