It’s been nearly a year since we announced our agency reorganization plan to our staff, and with support of staff and the Board of Directors, we have successfully completed the changes necessary to be a Housing First agency. During the design and implementation process, change and the uncertainty that comes with it was felt by each and every person associated with St. Patrick Center, including our clients. We made it through!
This coming year is where we will hit our stride in the new agency configuration, and best align all resources to help our clients achieve the successes they desire and deserve. Client service is becoming more streamlined and easier for the clients to navigate, which allows for deeper relationships and faster goal achievement. Clients and staff both recognize a positive difference in the way we carry out St. Patrick Center’s mission.
The agency reorganization has also more deeply embodied our four Core Values of Trust, Ownership, Collaboration and Innovation. Newly formed teams are physically located together, and the idea and information sharing is evident in every daily activity. For example, our new Rapid Rehousing (RRH) team has created a standard intake process for veteran and non-veteran programs, which shares not only housing options but also other needs like employment training and job placement opportunities.
We’re proud of the changes we’ve made and the work we do. We’re proud of our clients and the successes they achieve. We’re blessed to have the community support to carry out this mission of ending chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region.
