Irish Open raises more than $658,000!
We’re thrilled to announce that the St. Patrick Center
Irish Open Gala and Golf Tournament raised more than $658,000 to help end homelessness for clients and their families. We’re extremely grateful for all who contributed to making these events so successful– sponsors, event committee, volunteers and attendees. 425 guests attended the Gala at St. Louis Union Station Hotel on June 2 and 260 played golf at Norwood Hills Country Club on June 4.
Congrats to our Gala awardees
CEO Jim Kavanaugh and World Wide Technology were awarded the 2018 Edith Cunnane Community Champion in honor of our founder, Edith Cunnane, whose leadership, dedication and passion created
St. Patrick Center 35 years ago as a resource for people facing homeless.
World Wide Technology is St. Patrick Center’s largest corporate partner, giving more than 1 million dollars in direct funding. Jim Kavanaugh sat on our Board of Directors for nine years and was President for two. His dedication to St. Patrick Center has influenced his World Wide Technology colleagues. They’re not only active in sponsoring and attending our events; they also dive deeply into our mission by collecting items for our clients; serving meals and organizing clothes; and holding team meetings in our building to share our story.
Congrats also to Patrick Quinn, who received the 2018 Leo Paradis Volunteer Champion award, named in honor of our former CEO, Leo Paradis, whose establishment of an all-inclusive service center made St. Patrick Center a nationwide leader in homeless services.
Patrick has served St. Patrick Center his entire adult life, starting as a student volunteer in 1987. His nine years of board service began in 2009, including the board’s development committee and serving as board president this year. He also chaired the Irish Open for five years, when his work contributed to more than $10 million dollars raised for St. Patrick Center.
We have Irish Open photos to share with you. Thanks to Tom Paule Photography for sharing their photography talents.
